How it works
You need the claims file your insurance company lets you download from its website, or the EOB statements (PDF) it sends you. Plan on about 20 minutes.
Load your claims
Load your carrier's claims download, or read your EOB statements with the built-in EOB Importer. Each claim is shown for review.
Pick plans to compare
Choose the plans available where you live and mark the one you have now. Add care you expect next year.
See your yearly cost
Each plan's premiums, plus what you would have paid for your care, minus any HSA or HRA money. Sort by cost or by plan design.
Your claims stay on your computer
We never see your health information. There is no account, no upload and no server to hold it.
- It runs in your browser
- The analyzer and its EOB Importer are files you download and open in your browser. A built-in security policy blocks them from connecting to the internet at all.
- Names are replaced as claims load
- Patient names become "Person 1", "Person 2". Member ID, account and address columns are dropped.
- Nothing is kept unless you ask
- Claims are erased when you close the tab. You can choose to remember your plan choices on your own computer.
- No tracking on this website
- No cookies, ads or analytics. Read the Privacy Policy.

Questions
Which insurance companies' files work?
Any carrier that lets you download claims as a spreadsheet (CSV). The analyzer matches common column names and lets you correct any it misses. The EOB Importer reads PDF statements, including scanned ones. Both were built and tested with UnitedHealthcare files; other carriers may need a column or a few amounts checked by hand.
Is this advice about which plan to choose?
No. It's a planning estimate based on your past claims and the plan rules we could verify. Each plan's official brochure controls what you would actually pay. Fields we couldn't verify are marked in the analyzer rather than guessed.
Are you connected with OPM or any insurance company?
No. The analyzer is an independent tool. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management or any FEHB carrier, and we earn nothing from the plan you pick.
Does it work on a phone?
It opens on phones and tablets, but loading claim files and reading the comparison table is much easier on a computer.
